They had all managed to make it back to Elliot's after the grassy knoll, somehow avoiding cops, FBI agents and nosy Texans who thought they could perform a citizen's arrest.

But they had made their impact. Their faces were all over the news as the people who killed President Kennedy.

"...Lee Harvey Oswald. Vanya Hargreeves, wanted in connection with the deaths of several FBI agents inside the federal building at Dealey Plaza. A Cuban exile known only as Diego…"

"Cuban?" Diego repeated.

"...who recently escaped from the Holbrook Sanitarium."

Yes, yes, an hour and a half. Diego knew they were in a time crunch. But if couldn't trust Annie and Ben to arrive on time, who could he trust?

And he'd get there. After he was done burying this body. Elliot at least deserved that.

Luther felt like his whole world was being turned upside down. The one time he doesn't want to do what Dad says, the rest of his siblings go "sure, let's go out to eat with him".

Luther had made his way to Elliot's, stolen the guy's robe, and made the biggest plate of scrambled eggs known to man. Now he was reluctantly listening to his brothers (and his brother's girlfriend), explain what the hell happened to them last night.

He didn't particularly care. He was still moping over Allison.

Just because they had an invitation physically did not mean that any of the four people creeping towards the consulate had any actual business being here. Fortunately, everyone seemed to be too busy valeting cars and walking in arm-in-arm with their dates to notice these highly-suspicious people sneak their way through the parking lot.

"So what's the plan?" Lila asked as they crouched behind a car. She was trying to make it seem believable, still, that she was just along with all of this for a lark, but she had to keep reminding herself that she probably needed to be a little less steady when she ran in heels, and that boosting herself up and over a wall needed to look a little less natural when she did it. Escaped mental patients, particularly in this time period, weren't usually known for their agility.

Oh well. Maybe no one had noticed.

Diego wasn't the only one with some underlying dread when it came to seeing their father in the flesh again. But they couldn't really stop now with yet another apocalypse coming on fast.

"This is it," Five said, looking at the building like there should be some kind of obvious sign of Sir Reginald.

How Diego ended up in an insane asylum for 75 days should have been a long story, but it really wasn't. After being sure Annie and Five were nowhere to be found, Diego figured he had been brought to this time (September 1963, as he found out) for a reason. Namely, to save President John F. Kennedy.

You show up at Lee Harvey Oswald's house one time to kill him, and suddenly you're a 'bad guy' who is 'crazy' and needs to be 'put away'.

So here he was in November, sitting in on another mind numbing group therapy session.

One second you, your brother and your girlfriend are attempting to time travel together, the next you're superhero landing in some dark alleyway. Diego looked around for signs of Annie and Five, but was quickly distracted by a scream coming from the street.

He ran towards the noise. Since he was in full on superhero mode so he didn't notice odd things like the woman's clothing being old fashioned, the cars being old fashioned...everything being old fashioned.

The screaming woman in question had been mugged, with her assailant running down the street with her purse. Diego whipped out a knife and threw it, trapping the guy against a telephone pole. It was easy enough to knock the guy out and give the lady back her purse.

It was only then he realized that things were kind of weird here. He turned in a circle, trying to gauge where or when the hell he was, stopping when he faced an electronics store. The TVs for sale (most definitely not flat screen) were all playing the same thing, a news report about President John F. Kennedy. Who was apparently alive and well.

"Oh fuck."
