You know those little cardboard disks at the bottom of frozen pizzas? Turns out you were supposed to throw away that part before putting it in the oven. As Annie and Diego discovered, it can catch on fire.

See this is what happened when they didn't just stick to protein shakes and/or Danny didn't feed them.

Diego's apartment was still in tact, luckily, it just smelled vaguely of smoke, burnt pizza and cardboard. Which was why all of the windows were open despite it being freezing out. Diego didn't mind too much though, they had a pizza delivered--which they should have done in the first place--and now were cuddled up on the couch under some blankets.

All in all making the best of a bad (or stupid) situation.

"You're definitely not, like, hard to get," Annie assured him, reaching down to pull off her own shirt and lightly toss it away. "Which I've always appreciated, for the record."

And, okay, she might have burrowed back into the blankets kind of immediately once it was off. It really was pretty cold in here. She wasn't just being cute.

Did it help that he was settling himself against her as soon as they both had their shirts off?

"I'm really only easy with you," Diego said, letting out a contented little sigh at the feeling of her against him.

It helped a lot, yes, and Annie smiled as she moved in to kiss him again. "Then I appreciate you making an exception," she teased softly, staying close and tracing the fingertips of both hands up his chest now that there was more freedom for her to do so.

Diego smiled into the kiss, very happy that they ended up here despite the fire and the open windows. It was impressive, actually.

And it was keeping him warm!

Annie shifted a little against him, working a hand around her back for a moment before she neatly reached out of the blanket nest and dropped her bra onto the floor. Because ironically enough, it really was a lot warmer with fewer clothes.

And with that taken care of, obviously she was pressing back in close against Diego, but she also was going to go ahead and reach her hands up to his face as she kissed him. It was partly to help warm his face, too, but also mostly because it was just kind of her move.

"Much better," Diego murmured between kisses. He slid one of his hands up to her chest and lets all be very glad his hands were warm from being under the covers.

Annie was definitely very glad for that, yes, and she arched forward into his touch with a happy sigh.

"We have to be quiet," she warned, her hands trailing back down his chest to lightly brush against the waist of his pants. "Because of the windows." Like anyone would be wandering around outside to hear them, but still.

Diego smiled, ducking his head down to mouth at Annie's neck. "Do you really think people will know its us?"

That was not a good way to help her stay quiet, Diego.

"They'll know it's someone," Annie supplied, her voice a bit unsteady as she pulled her hair out of its ponytail and draped it over her opposite shoulder. "And it wouldn't be hard to figure out it's the people with the open windows."

Of course, she probably cared more about people hearing them than he did.

"Okay, we'll be quiet," he said, biting at her collarbone. "We can manage that, right?"

"Well, I know I can," Annie murmured affectionately, starting to work on getting his pants undone as she pressed a kiss below his ear.

That earned her a harder bite against her shoulder. "Liar."

Annie let out a soft little gasp, and one of her hands shifted to grip his thigh, fingers digging in slightly. "I can too," she argued, though she was kind of doubting that herself, at the moment. "You can't."

Oh, good, let's get competitive about this.

"I can be plenty quiet," he said, kissing his way down her chest. "When my mouth is otherwise occupied."

That did not exactly bode well for Annie's ability to stay quiet, but it did send a little shiver up her spine that had nothing to do with the cold. Her hand abandoned the complicated task of his pants for the moment, instead coming up to lightly thread into his hair. "Well, that's cheating."

Not that she was objecting.

"Should I stop?" It was probably also cheating that he took her nipple into his mouth right after he said that.

It was absolutely cheating, but Annie wasn't about to let him stop. "Don't you dare," she murmured, very proud of how low she kept her voice even as her hand tightened in his hair. The trade-off for being quiet (or trying to) was, of course, that Annie tended to get a little rougher.

Diego let out a pleased noise at the hair pulling, running his teeth along her nipple. His hands went for her pants, tugging them down as much as he could in this position.

Annie was very willing to assist with that, lifting her hips to help him and kicking her pants down a bit. (Honestly, having someone regularly try to get her out of her pants was starting to make Annie strongly consider the merits of skirts, come springtime.) Her hand stayed in his hair, while the other was traveling up to his shoulder to dig her nails in a little against his skin in response to those teeth.

And, okay, she wasn't going to admit it, but she might have had to bite down on her lower lip to keep from making a noise, there.

"That almost sounded like a noise," Diego teased. He sat up a little to kick his own pants off, shivering a little from the cold.

"You're hearing things," Annie assured him with a smirk, getting her pants off the rest of the way and reaching for him pretty much as soon as she could because she hated to see him shiver. (And also because, you know, she would have anyway.)

Oh like Diego wasn't going to take an invitation like that. He leaned in to kiss Annie again, pressing himself against her as much as he could.

Annie helpfully drew a blanket up around them, since she was starting to get goosebumps herself, and slid an arm around Diego's back to try to keep him close.

As though was going to go anywhere. It was warm this way and they were naked; probably safe to assume everyone would be staying pretty close, here.

Diego let out a soft moan, rocking his hips gently against hers. He was in no hurry, just enjoying how close they were right now.

Annie was also fairly content to take her time with him, since just being close with Diego like this was already just this side of perfect, as far as she was concerned.

She wanted more soft noises like that, though (quiet didn't mean silent) and so she dipped her head low to bite at his neck, her tongue flicking out against his skin to soothe it.
