You know those little cardboard disks at the bottom of frozen pizzas? Turns out you were supposed to throw away that part before putting it in the oven. As Annie and Diego discovered, it can catch on fire.

See this is what happened when they didn't just stick to protein shakes and/or Danny didn't feed them.

Diego's apartment was still in tact, luckily, it just smelled vaguely of smoke, burnt pizza and cardboard. Which was why all of the windows were open despite it being freezing out. Diego didn't mind too much though, they had a pizza delivered--which they should have done in the first place--and now were cuddled up on the couch under some blankets.

All in all making the best of a bad (or stupid) situation.

Annie helpfully drew a blanket up around them, since she was starting to get goosebumps herself, and slid an arm around Diego's back to try to keep him close.

As though was going to go anywhere. It was warm this way and they were naked; probably safe to assume everyone would be staying pretty close, here.

Diego let out a soft moan, rocking his hips gently against hers. He was in no hurry, just enjoying how close they were right now.

Annie was also fairly content to take her time with him, since just being close with Diego like this was already just this side of perfect, as far as she was concerned.

She wanted more soft noises like that, though (quiet didn't mean silent) and so she dipped her head low to bite at his neck, her tongue flicking out against his skin to soothe it.

That did get her another noise, one he had to bite down on his lower lip to muffle. He leaned in to kiss her again, hoping to distract her from him being noisy.

Oh, Annie absolutely heard that muffled noise, and while she was content to let it go for the moment in the name of more kisses, she was still pretty obviously pleased to have gotten the reaction she wanted.

That arm she had around him tightened as she pressed into the kiss, fitting herself against him as snugly as she could.

"You know," Diego said, nipping at her jaw. "If this blanket falls off we're gonna be in trouble."

"Just another challenge," Annie told him with a little sigh, preemptively tugging the blanket a little higher and raking her nails lightly up along his lower back. "Good thing we're good at this."

They'd already done this like, so many times under easy, normal conditions. Annie felt like they could swing a little consciously-quiet, consciously-blanket-covered sex no problem. (Also she really didn't want to get up and close the windows like, at all, right now.)

"We are good at this." He slid one of his hands down past her hip so he could teasingly run his fingers down her inner thigh.

Which had Annie pressing her hips forward with a soft, needy noise. Good thing Diego's shoulder was right there where she could issue a sharp bite to it, since that would hopefully both muffle the sound she made and distract him from it in the first place.

"Fuck," he murmured. Which was quiet! Ish. It didn't quite distract him enough from his goal of having Annie make more noise, which was why he was pressing one of his fingers into her slowly.

"Fuck," she breathed in agreement. Yeah, Annie really thought she was much more capable of being quiet than she actually was, and the way that word morphed into a soft moan halfway through was evidence of that.

Though, that being said, it just made her want to get more sound out of him, too, which was why when she leaned down to bite at his upper chest, she was actively looking to leave a bruise this time.

"Cheating," Diego said, not proud of how breathless he sounded. Impatience was starting to creep in and he started moving his hand a little faster, pressing in a second finger a few moments later.

Oh no, Diego, you want to see cheating? Cheating looked a lot more like dragging her nails down his chest until her hand wrapped around him, teasing and light for now, as she pressed in to whisper against his ear, "It's not cheating to know what you like."

Now, granted, that whisper was fairly shaky, as was Annie's breathing, and the hand on his back was digging in harder now, because Annie was having a really hard time keeping at all quiet with the change in pace and the addition of that second finger.

Diego really couldn't argue with that logic. Even if he could, he was in no position to come up with a coherent thought right now. He jerked his hips up into Annie's hand, barely making any attempt to be quiet at this point.

Look, he didn't particularly care who heard him. Any attempt was purely for Annie's benefit.

Annie appreciated that, even if it was a fairly doomed effort on both their parts.

It didn't stop her from playfully shushing him as she tilted her head up for another kiss, nipping at his lower lip as she kept up the steady pace of her hand.

"Are you shushing me?" he teased, bumping his nose against hers.

"Yes. Shh," Annie told him, clearly pretty pleased with herself as she pressed a kiss to his jaw. "And I'll shush you again if you don't watch it."

It kind of killed her to shush him, honestly, given how much she loved hearing him, but she was getting a little into this challenge of being quiet.

(It helped that, again, it was a challenge she herself was absolutely going to very happily fail.)

Diego laughed lightly, kissing her again. He moved his hands to her thighs, spreading her legs a little more but not pressing in just yet. He was going to tease her just because she shushed him. He was petty like that.

Annie kind of loved that pettiness, honestly.

She shifted one leg restlessly, a soft groan escaping in spite of her better efforts. She trailed her mouth along his neck to his ear, biting lightly at the lobe. "I need you, Diego."

She figured that'd either get her what she wanted, or she'd get to shush him again. Either way.

That was cheating, and Diego absolutely did not care. That was so close to the L-word that it made Diego shiver a little bit.

It also did get her absolutely what she wanted because he was pushing in slowly a moment later.

Was it cheating if she meant it? Because teasing and pettiness and trying to get a reaction aside, she really did feel like she needed him.

It helped that she also L-worded him, too, even if she kept talking herself out of saying so.

Annie's fingers were already digging in against his back even with that first movement, because she was pretty keyed up already. She wasn't too into the being-quiet game that she was able to completely suppress the throaty little gasp she let out in response as she wound a leg around him, mindful of the blanket.

At least at this point if the blanket slipped a little the cold air would probably be welcomed.

Diego wasn't doing so great on the whole keeping quiet thing either right now. He tried to duck his head down and muffle the groan he made against Annie's shoulder but it didn't do much. He wasn't even sorry.

"Shhhh - fuck." At least Annie managed to keep her voice down, even if that was the world's least effective or believable shushing.

Her hips arched up to meet his insistently as Annie bit at his neck. Something about having to keep it down (ostensibly) made her just want to keep murmuring soft, needy things into Diego's ear. "Harder." Like that.

Christ, that really wasn't helping him be quiet, Annie. Diego reached up above their heads to grab onto the arm of the couch to give himself more leverage as he thrust in harder.

Which also wasn't helping him keep quiet.

Annie was sort of past caring about whether they actually managed to stay quiet anymore. If anything, she wanted to see how badly she could make him lose it, now.

"You feel so good." She at least was able to keep her voice down, even if the rest of the noises she couldn't help were not nearly as hushed. She arched her neck up to kiss Diego roughly, rolling her hips up against his and trying desperately to keep to some kind of faltering rhythm. "Always - so good."
