Diego had assumed Annie had gone off on Seven business, so he wasn't expecting her back home any time soon. It was rare that they had actual work to do (aside from filming and interviews), so he was hoping she was enjoying herself.

And then he got a text message from Queen Maeve of all people. He had forgotten Annie had made them do a little phone tree thing after everything that happened last month.

Starlight's boyfriend, tell her she better get her ass here ASAP Ashley is irritating the shit out of me

Diego groaned. Well, fuck.

[Open, sure. Possibly some SP while I figure out wtf happened at work while I was on vacation]

"Thanks," Diego said offhandedly, still frowning at his phone. "I think Annie fell in a hole."

"...you're not going in after her, right?" Because Diego. Diego, it was a bad choice.

[knife_bender]

"If I find a hole then fuck yeah I'm going in after her." Don't ask stupid questions, Five.

But that would mean Five would have to go after him! And it'd be a real Little Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly situation there.

"That's stupid," Five informed him.

"What the hell else am I supposed to do?" he asked. "Nobody else has any good ideas."

At least if he were down there, they could be in a stupid situation together.

"Well, think harder then," Five replied. And now he was absolutely going to see Annie's crazy board and think, 'Pff, amateur.'

"Since you're so smart, why don't you come up with a suggestion?" Diego asked. "Otherwise, I'm going out there to find a hole to jump in."

Diego, you were just asking to be held captive by an old man in a child's body.

"Don't test me," Five snapped. Because this family. Oh god, this family.

"Oh, what are you going to do?" Diego asked. "You're not as scary as you think you are."

Excuse you, Five was super scary. In his knee socks and fancy boy shorts.

"Try it."

[knife_bender]

Diego narrowed his eyes at Five. Sure, there wasn't a hole to jump in right here, but he could be a bitch and try to leave the apartment to find a hole.

Which is exactly what he went to do because you were asking for it, Five.

Five teleported in front of him like a jerk. Which was the reasoning for a lot of his actions, really.

Who could have seen that coming? "Move, Five."

Surely not anyone here! "No. You're not going in a hole like a reckless idiot."

[knife_bender]

"You can't stand there all day." Diego, why? Why did you do this?

[apocalypsehow]

"True," Five admitted, clearly getting ideas. Diego, you brought this on yourself.

Well Diego was just going to have to reach out to shove Five's shoulder. He chose violence.

That he did.

Five grabbed Diego's wrist to slap a handcuff on it. Where did he even get it? Don't ask dumb questions, that's where.

You know it said a lot about their family that Diego didn't even question it. Because he too could have handcuffs on him at any given moment.

"Very funny," Diego said, trying to pull his hand away. "Let me go, you little psychopath."

[apocalypsehow]

"Not if you're going to be stupid," Five replied. "Which I know is a struggle for you."

Now to figure out what to hook him to.

"You're stupid." Nice comeback.

If he hadn't just gotten up he would have had a knife to threaten the little brat with. This is what he got for getting comfortable and being slightly less paranoid.

So instead he just went to pull Five's hair with a free hand. He was not above playing dirty. He'd bite too if Five got close enough. No qualms about it.

Diego, you knew that Five drew the line at biting! You knew that!

He hissed in annoyance, teleporting them over to the nearest radiator to slap the other half of the cuffs on.

Great, now he was pissed and nauseous. Thanks.

"Five, I'm going to kick your ass!"

[apocalypsehow]

Five teleported again, just out of reach. "If you're going to act like a child, you're staying there."

[knife_bender]

"I'm acting like a child?" Yes, yes he was. But so was Five! "You can't just keep me here!"

[apocalypsehow]

"Yes, I can!" Five shouted back as he disappeared into the kitchen to make Diego a sandwich and find some water for him.

It was peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. Enjoy that.

Diego immediately tried pulling on the handcuffs to see if he could break out of them. Then when that didn't work, he started kicking at the radiator like that was somehow going to be easier to break than the handcuffs.

"I'm gonna kill him," Diego mumbled, pulling at the handcuffs again. "I'm going to kill you!"

"You are not," Five said, teleporting in and out to deposit a sandwich and some water before Diego could bite him.

If Diego wasn't currently seething, he would have thought the sandwich thing was nice. But seeing as he was currently seething he kind of wanted to figure out how he could kill someone with marshmallow fluff.

"I'm going to get out of here." Or maybe he'd be rescued by the one person on the island who was on his himbo level.

Five would be so pissed about it.

"Once this is solved, yes," Five assured him, pausing like he thought of something. Then disappeared to hunt down a bucket to place near him as well.

You know. For bathroom times.
