This had been the first time Diego had a girlfriend on Valentine's Day and he wasn't going to let any lingering awkwardness from last week prevent him from going all out for it. The restaurant had items on the menu Diego couldn't pronounce which is how he knew it was fancy. Luckily it was a place that just required you to look nice but not force a tie on you. That was just one thing he refused to do after being forced to wear one for seventeen years.

"You know, it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be to get a reservation in a specific restaurant in a specific universe," Diego said as he tried to find something in English on the menu.

Honestly it was easy to check to make sure it was the correct one if you dropped a 'Hey, was the latest Homelander movie any good?' to the person you were talking to on the phone and if they responded in kind you knew you got it right.

Annie gave a soft little sigh as she rolled her hips down against Diego and pressed a bit closer, her hands starting to work the buttons on his shirt. She wasn't sure how much clothing was actually going to ultimately be removed, here, but she really wanted her hands on his skin right now.

Diego made a pleased humming noise, rocking his hips up into Annie's. He ducked his head down to bite at her collarbone, particularly happy about the neckline of this dress.

The clothing removal will probably have to be minimal and require some resituating which was a con of car sex but oh well. They could fully undress when they got home.

At least between that neckline and the very nature of skirts, Annie was fairly accessible without needing to remove much. And resituating would be necessary eventually, but not just yet, since Annie was content to find ways she could touch him while staying here in his lap -- like sliding her hand up under Diego's shirt against his side, nails dragging lightly.

"I love you," Diego murmured, biting down on her collarbone again. He dug his fingers into her thighs, pushing up his hips against hers again, with a little more force than before.

Hearing that was still so new, and hearing it like this sent a little shiver up Annie's spine. "I love you too," she sighed as she rocked her hips down against his hard in response, unable to stifle a soft moan at how that felt already.

Diego tightened his grip on Annie before lifting slightly to move them horizontal so he was on top of her. That would make the necessary clothing removal easier. Also? It was hot.

It was just, like, ridiculously hot, and it might have been easy to tell Annie thought so with how she arched up to kiss him as soon as they were settled, a bit rougher and more aggressive than she had been. Her arms slid up around Diego's back, and if she was starting to seem a little desperate, well, that probably wasn't especially surprising.

Diego was a little desperate himself. The adrenaline of, well, everything that happened tonight ensured that there was going to be little teasing here. He was already getting his hands under the hem of Annie's dress again, trying to get rid of more clothing.

Annie squirmed under him in an attempt to assist with at least getting her underwear off. She even resisted the urge to wrap a leg up around him (at least, for now) since that would only make things more difficult, and instead skimmed a hand around to work on Diego's belt.

At least, in theory. She wasn't totally beyond the idea of teasing, though, so she would be getting to that belt only after a bit of pressing her hand to the front of his pants and lightly stroking him through the fabric.

"Fuck." Well that wasn't helping his coordination at all, Annie. There was a little fumbling, but he did manage to get her underwear off without falling off the backseat. However he was paying absolutely no attention to where he tossed them aside.

But that was a problem for later.

Annie certainly wasn't going to worry about it right now, especially not when she found that lack of coordination so distractingly hot. She did get around to actually getting his belt and pants undone once she focused a little more, though she wasn't so focused that she couldn't drop a few wholly uncoordinated kisses along Diego's neck.

Diego cursed again under his breath, reaching down impatiently to help her get his pants down. He'd make up for it later when they got home. Totally slow and sweet sex later on.

Annie toed off her boots since she didn't want to accidentally kick anyone at an inopportune moment, and now she was sliding one of those stockinged legs around his waist, arching her hips up against Diego's impatiently.

Diego was so happy they were both on the same page here. He got one of his hands on her thigh, gripping tightly as he started to press into her.

At least the windows were nice and fogged up now so they had some semblance of privacy.

Annie slid one arm around to rest a hand against Diego's lower back, her fingers tightening in his shirt as she felt him move in her. Her hips rolled up to meet his and her other hand -- desperate and impatient though she was -- reached up to cup his cheek. Because she needed this right now at least in part because she was a little emotionally overwhelmed in addition to the adrenaline of the fight, and the way she was pressing up to kiss him was hopefully communicating that this hurried car sex was still pretty romantic for Annie.

Diego moaned softly, rocking his hips up into hers. He found this all to be pretty romantic too, despite how hurried this was. It helped that they were pressed together pretty much from head to toe and he couldn't do much more than grind in deep with the way his pants were only halfway down.

Which wasn't a complaint. This was doing a lot for him right now.

Annie had a little more freedom of movement, and she used it to angle her hips up against Diego's to ensure she was taking him as deep as she could. The leg she had around his waist helped give her a little leverage to move against him, and eventually she broke the kiss just so she could move her mouth close to his ear. "I love you."

She'd had to stop herself from saying it during sex for literally weeks, and it was pretty much all she could think about right now.

It felt so good to hear that right now. He moaned softly, ducking his head down to bite her shoulder. "I love you. So much--"

Annie was never going to be tired of hearing him say that. Ever. Ever.

"So much," Annie murmured in agreement, her hand going up to curve around the back of his neck as she rocked up fluidly against him. "So, so much."

He didn't think he'd get tired of it either. Just hearing it now had him leaning in for another uncoordinated kiss, reaching up to grab the seat beside them so he could get more leverage to thrust in harder.

At least he hadn't done the Titanic thing with his hand against the window.

Annie moaned into the kiss, her rhythm faltering. One hand held onto to Diego's shoulder, tight enough that bruising was absolutely going to be a thing later, while the other slid down to grip his ass. "Close."

She probably didn't actually need to tell him, given how erratic her movements had gotten.

She didn't need to tell him, but he liked hearing it anyway. Probably his favorite thing to hear during sex next to "I love you".

Any hope of maintaining a steady rhythm was gone by now, but he did have enough coordination to slip a hand between them. He was so close, but he was determined to bring her over the edge with him.

Annie was so close already that Diego's touch just pushed her right over the edge, and it wasn't longer than a few seconds more before she was crying out.

Her eyes illuminated for a moment, lighting up his face in the darkness of the car before she was closing them to lean up for another rough kiss. She could catch her breath in a second; right now she really needed to make sure she took him with her.

She really wouldn't have to put in too much effort to make that happen. He had been on the edge anyway and feeling her tighten up around him followed by watching her eyes glow was more than enough to make it happen.

It was probably for the best she was kissing him because the sound he made was loud, even when muffled.

She loved hearing how loud he got, even if it probably was a good thing it was a little muffled now. No need to draw anyone's attention to this parked car with fogged-up windows or anything.

Annie broke the kiss to lean her forehead against Diego's so they could both actually breathe. She was still all wrapped up around him, and planning to stay that way for at least a little while. Like, eventually they would have to move in order to get home and have more sex, and that was good motivation, but Annie was good with staying like this for a few minutes while her heartbeat calmed down again.
