MHA # 2 | Tuesday Morning

Diego had meant to arrange stuff for Annie's birthday sometime last week, but had not predicted he'd be a cat for eleven days. So he was kind of scrambling this morning, between that and trying to catch up on the weird shit that had happened while he was of the feline persuasion.

He managed to sneak out early and go to J,GOB to pick up some cupcakes and found some leftover candles from his own birthday in a drawer. It wasn't, like, spectacular or anything, but it was the best he could do on short notice.

"I still look good in black though, right?" he teased, going to sit her down on the bed.

[defenderofdesmoines]

"You look great in black," Annie promised, trying to tug him down on the bed with her. "And in orange. And in nothing."

Annie was not biased on this point at all, thank you.

"You're going to make me blush," he said, crawling on top of her. "For the record, I think you look great in nothing too."

[defenderofdesmoines]

"I like making you blush." Partly because it was pretty rare, if Annie was the cause. She wound her arms up around him, lest he get any ideas about going anywhere. "I think 'nothing' might actually be my favorite on you. Even more than orange."

"You think I should skip the orange shirt and go straight to 'nothing'?" he asked.

"Well, you have to take off this shirt, anyway," Annie pointed out, leaning up to kiss him and lightly fingering the fabric of his shirt between her thumb and forefinger. "And you'll have to get off me to put on the orange one. Seems like a lot of work for right this minute."

Annie's prediction was that this orange shirt thing was going to be kind of a 'later' thing. Maybe even an 'after' thing. Call her crazy.

"I'm so happy you said that." Diego pulled away slightly to pull his shirt off. Why waste time?

Seriously.

"Perfect," Annie sighed, reaching her hands out to touch Diego as soon as she could. "I have good ideas, too."

They were both geniuses, really. At least when it came to this kind of stuff.

"You do," he murmured, settling on top of her again so he could kiss her.

Annie sighed softly into the kiss, winding a leg across the backs of Diego's and sliding her arms up around his back. As much as she loved that orange shirt, being able to lightly trace her fingerstips down along his spine as she kissed him was already a pretty good argument in favor of shirtlessness.

(There were a lot of good arguments in favor of shirtlessness, though, let's be honest.)

"Good birthday so far?" he murmured, leaning down to bite at her neck. "I'm open to criticism."

[defenderofdesmoines]

"I mean, so far it's kind of the best," Annie teased, arching her neck for him to get more of those birthday bites and squirming a little under him to get to the hem of her own shirt. "I feel like I'm wearing too much, though. It's not fair."

Fairness was very important, remember.

"And we've established we are all about fairness." What with the icing and everything. Diego sat up some, straddling Annie's hips without putting too much of his weight on her (though if anybody could handle it no problem it would be her). He started helping her push up her shirt.

"We are the fairest people ever." At least when it came to nudity.

They really had great priorities when it came to nudity, yes. Even if that forgetting-about-pants issue of theirs was kind of notoriously persistent at this point.

"Absolutely the fairest. Totally even now," Annie agreed as she happily wriggled out of her shirt. And since she enjoyed being comfortable when she was home and sleeping and such, there wasn't even a bra to contend with.

And as soon as her arms were free, Annie was reaching up to touch him again -- one hand found an appreciative path along his arm, her other moving to touch his waist. Annie was going to clearly have a touching problem today, which was a problem she had every day except today was both her birthday and a day when Diego was no longer a cat, so it was kind of worse.

He wouldn't exactly call it a touching problem.

As much as Diego wanted to lean down and press himself against her, he also wanted to enjoy the view for a moment. He slid his hand up her hip and stomach slowly, just enjoying the touching.

He had missed having opposable thumbs, okay?

"I missed you," Annie murmured, and yes, she had already said that, but now there was touching to go along with that sentiment. She arched her back a little, reaching down to trace her fingertips along the back of his hand as he slid it along her skin. "Like, your hands."

Just to be clear that she absolutely meant in the physical sense, at the moment. She was pretty sure she'd thoroughly made it clear she had missed him in every single way, but right now those hands and his expanse of bare skin were getting a lot of focus from her.

"I missed you too." Though, admittedly, as a cat he didn't really have the capacity to really miss things like he would as a human. Still.

He smiled at Annie's hand covering his, and kept on moving it up slowly, eventually stopping when he could cup her breast, circling his thumb around her nipple.

"That's so nice," Annie sighed, her skin puckering in response as she splayed her own fingers out along Diego's. It was partly that she knew he liked her active participation when it came to touching her, so to speak, and partly that she was already feeling a little impatient and fairly needy in all the best ways. "I also missed your mouth."

[knife_bender]

"Yeah?" Well that meant he had to duck his head down to get his mouth around one of her nipples. He kept his hand where it was, tugging at her other nipple lightly.

The noise that came out of Annie was sort of an agreement, at least in as much as the strangled moan she let out ended in, "Uh huh."

And now her other hand found its way to the back of his head. Impatience bred bossiness, it turned out.

Would it surprise anyone to learn that the bossiness spurred Diego on? He let out a soft moan, which could probably be felt more than heard. He kept his mouth where it was (since they both seemed to like it there), and shifted slightly, working one of his legs between hers.

They had messed up on the pants thing yet again.

They super had, but that wasn't stopping Annie from shifting against his leg in search of some friction for the moment, at least. Maybe someday they'd move past the whole impatient honeymoon-esque phase, but considering they hadn't yet, it seemed more likely that they'd still forget about pants in the name of immediate gratification when they were both in their 80s.

"Fucking perfect," Annie mumbled, her hand tightening against the back of his head as she slid her hand down his back, dragging her nails this time.

Diego moaned again, enjoying that little bit of sting from her nails. He rocked his leg against her, trying to help her (and him) with the whole friction thing.

After a moment he had to lean up and kiss her again because it had been too long.

Annie moaned into the kiss, wrapping both arms up around him so she could drag both sets of nails down along his back. Because she was a very observant person, and those skills were never more practiced than when it came to Diego's reactions to her.

But he was also being pretty distracting with his leg, there, and Annie simply could not be blamed for the kind of desperate way she was shifting against him, okay?

"We need less clothes," he panted, pulling back slightly. "Like, now."
