So the idea had been to go out to eat after spending time in a haunted corn maze (benefit of your anniversary being near Halloween), but by the time it was all over both Diego and Annie were too covered in dirt and straw to really be allowed into a place that wasn't Denny's.

Of course they could have had some self-restraint and not have gone so hard racing through the maze, but they wouldn't be Diego and Annie if they didn't.

That was fine. It had been a fun time, and pizza was always good. Especially when it was timed perfectly and dropped off at the apartment door just as they were getting back.

See, and his reactions were getting filed away (or something less implicitly neat than filed) in Annie's brain for future use by her subconscious, and maybe future attempts to talk through this since he seemed to really, really like it when she did.

But for now, Annie answered that by leaning in to kiss him again, all the better to muffle her own needy, exhaled moan when she finally eased over him.

If she kept talking during this Diego might actually die or something.

As it was, much talking wasn't going to happen when Diego attempted to muffle his loud groan by kissing Annie again. Another thing he learned over the last year? He could grip Annie's leg pretty hard in order to steady himself and know he couldn't hurt her.

He couldn't hurt her, no, but God she loved to see him try.

"I love you," Annie murmured between kisses, her hands finding a similarly steadying grip on his shoulders. They were going to probably end up sporting quite the array of bruises and scratches by the time this was all over, but something Annie had learned over the past year was that Diego would likely be kind of disappointed if he walked away from anniversary sex without any marks.

"I love you too," he said, nipping at Annie's lip. Diego slid his free hand up to her breast, squeezing lightly. "We are so good at this."

Another thing that endured over the last year: They were very good at complimenting each other often.

"Think we'll keep getting better?" Annie wondered softly, rolling her hips down against his slowly and not bothering to hide how it made her gasp softly. (Another thing she'd learned over the -- honestly, actually, she'd learned this one pretty fast: Diego clearly liked hearing the noises she made during sex.) She was keeping things smooth and gentle for now, but obviously everyone here knew there was absolutely no chance they would stay that way.

It would absolutely not stay that way, but he was enjoying the smooth and gentle while it was happening. Diego ducked his head down to mouth at Annie's neck, using whatever leverage he could get to lift his hips up and match her rhythm.

And now seemed like the perfect moment for that little idea Annie had floated out there a second ago, before everyone lost too much control to even remember. "Hang onto me," she murmured, trying to maintain some kind of rhythm as she held onto Diego with one hand and reached down to hunt around for her phone with the other.

And once she'd found it -- for some reason, she was kind of distracted -- Annie was pressing in to kiss Diego again. "Picture?"

Like, right now. For future, lonely purposes. (And maybe this would be a fun little memory to recall the next time she suggested a selfie.)

"Oh fuck--really?" Now that was a look of pure awe on his face. It was kind of hard to process that, keep a hold of her, and not immediately lose it at the same time, but he managed. "Yes."

"Mmm-hmm." And see, Annie knew herself well enough to know that if she hesitated, she'd potentially get all up in her head about it and then this would be a failed experiment on every level, and at the moment, she had some truly excellent ways to fill her mind with other things.

So she looped her free arm around Diego's shoulders, held the phone out to the side so that she could see them both very well in the image, and immediately snapped a picture before she could change her mind. And then a few more. And -- like, the last couple might be kind of blurry, because she'd started moving again and wasn't really looking at her phone, but she was pretty sure no one here was gonna mind.

"I want copies of those," he panted, sliding both hands down to grip Annie's waist. He planted his feet on the floor and used the leverage to thrust up into her harder. They could look at how the photos turned out later (which would probably lead to more sex), right now he was feeling overwhelmed by how much he needed her right now.

"They're yours," Annie assured him, tossing her phone aside now that that particular mission was accomplished. And honestly it was kind of a miracle that she'd managed to say that much, considering how harsh her breath had gotten as soon as he'd planted his feet on the floor for that wonderful leverage.

With both hands freed up to touch Diego, Annie was finding she couldn't do it enough, now -- one hand made its way up his shoulder and along his neck in a needy, persistent touch, while the other had found a tight grip on his arm. "Fuck, you feel so good."

Maybe the whole dirty pictures thing excited her a little more than she'd easily admit. It had certainly made an already very charged situation into something kind of overwhelming and desperate for Annie.

"I love you so much," he said, breathing getting harder as he sped up his thrusts. "I want to see you--touch yourself."

He was quickly losing any rhythm he had, he was so close, but he wanted them to do this together.

Even just that directive from him was enough to render Annie's mind completely blank save for how insanely hot Diego was, how good this all felt (always felt), and how much she loved him.

"Fuck --" But she was also very good at taking directions, especially hot ones. Annie slipped that hand on his arm down between them, leaning back a little so he'd be able to see better as she circled her middle finger around her clit. "With me, with me --"

As though that was going to be a question, even.

That absolutely was not going to be a question. Diego had been on the edge as it was, but listening to her and feeling her and just everything had him coming seconds later.

It was definitely one of those stars behind the eyes, toes curling, might have blacked out for a second orgasms. He would apologize for the loud moan he let out never.

Good. Never. Annie's dreams also had audio.

Annie's head tipped back as she followed right along with him, eyes lighting up bright enough to actually reflect off the ceiling a little.

She would also not be apologizing for her vocal contributions, nor for how she slumped bonelessly against him a moment later.

Diego wrapped his arms around Annie, happy to have her slumping against him. He nuzzled against her neck for a moment before letting his forehead rest against her shoulder for a moment as he caught his breath.

They needed to have anniversaries more often.

"God, I love you." Annie fumbled her arms up around Diego and pressed a soft kiss behind his ear, still breathing hard. "We're so good together."

In all ways, and she meant that, but she did maybe kind of extra-mean it in a sex way right now.

"Yeah, we are," Diego said, letting out a contented sigh. "You especially are amazing."

Annie snorted softly in disagreement, shifting a little so she could curl herself against him without risk of, like, permanent fusion. "You know, this might surprise you, but I think you're especially amazing."

Diego laughed lightly, feeling content and exhausted in the best way. "I mean, I don't disagree with that assessment..."

"Happy anniversary," Annie murmured, tilting her head up to kiss him lazily. "First one down, whole lifetime to go."

It felt kind of huge when she said it like that, but in a wonderful, warm way.
