Diego had officially done the whole mall Santa thing and it was an experience he was never going to repeat again. If only because he was fairly sure no Santa should have been that handsy. But Annie got her picture and that was what mattered. He definitely won some boyfriend points for that.

They had decided to get the Christmas thing done early since she would be going home at some point and it might as well be now since the only weird thing going on was some creepy humming coming from the kitchen if you listened hard enough. That could be easily ignored.

Now he was on the couch watching Annie cover his apartment with an excessive amount of Christmas cheer. "You know it's just going to be me that sees this, right?"

Diego smiled against her neck. "Need me to help?"

He could probably remove his harness in his sleep, which was actually a pretty sad fact.

"Please," Annie said fairly immediately, grateful. "It's like a puzzle." And it was probably a good thing that all of his knives were so securely fastened to him, and she really liked the whole overall look, but she also wanted to, like, sit and practice with all his stuff one of these days when he wasn't actually wearing it and she wasn't increasingly impatient to remove it.

"It can be," he agreed, momentarily letting go of Annie so he could undo the straps of the harness. "At least it's all above my shirt this time?"

See, and now Annie could be helpful too, and unzip her hoodie and peel it off. Totally the same level of difficulty.

"I'll learn it all," she promised, watching him carefully (though she did momentarily look away to throw her hoodie over at the inflatable reindeer to knock it over. It didn't need to watch.) "I'll just have to keep undressing you until I get it right on the first try."

Oh no, anything but that.

"I'm more than willing to help you achieve that goal," Diego said, laughing when the reindeer got knocked over. He would have been kind of weirded out to look over and see that goofy reindeer face looking at them.

It didn't take him long to get all his various knives off and gently tossed onto the floor. His shirt followed soon after.

He also threw it at the reindeer, just because.

Annie's t-shirt also belonged over by the reindeer, it turned out! So did her bra, though she was getting kind of distracted and at this point she was just throwing her clothes in that general direction rather than aiming for the reindeer anymore.

And with all the weapons dispatched and everyone naked to the waist, obviously Annie needed to lean in and kiss him, pressing her torso against Diego's with a happy hum.

Diego made a pleased little noise of his own when he felt Annie pressed up against him. He slid his hands up her bare back, keeping her close and generally just really enjoying being able to touch her like this.

Annie was more than happy to stay close, dragging her nails lightly across Diego's shoulders and up the back of his neck with a soft sigh. She rolled her hips against his once, just to tease.

Pants were going to be a thing in a minute, yes, but now that they'd done this a few times Annie was a little more inclined to take her time with him. At least for the moment. That patience might not actually last all that long, but she could try for now.

Diego was all about taking his time right now. They had mood lighting thanks to the Christmas lights, soft (but weird) music coming from the kitchen and no weird reindeer looking at them. It was the epitome of romance.

Though she was making the patience thing harder when she rolled her hips like that. He moved his hand to one of her breasts, running his thumb over her nipple because he could also be a tease.

Annie arched into his touch with a soft, pleased noise, which she quickly tried to muffle by kissing Diego again. Not that anyone seemed to mind anyone else being noisy, here, but she didn't want to end up sounding all pathetic and needy too quickly. (Though, honestly, she probably wasn't going to have a choice there, even if they were taking it slow.)

One hand stayed on his back, helping to keep her steady and close to him, while she slid the other up to cup his cheek, her thumb brushing along his jaw.

Diego leaned in to that touch, secretly enjoying how sweet that was. Which was contrasted by the fact that he hadn't moved his hand from her breast and he was sliding the other back down to her ass again.

The impatience was starting to creep in.

And see, that wasn't helping Annie stay patient, either, and now she was digging her nails in a little against his back, her legs tightening at either side of his hips. "Are we staying here?" she murmured, perfectly fine with that thanks to the romantic lighting and all, but also pretty firm in her belief if he wanted to relocate, he was going to have to move her first.

She moved her mouth to his ear before biting lightly at his neck and sucking. Diego seemed to own a lot of shirts with high collars. She didn't think he'd mind.

Diego bit down on his lip in a failed attempt to muffle his moan. He did not even care about hickeys if getting them felt like that.

"We're going to have to move," he said, a little out of breath. "Hold on to me."

"Yes, please," Annie said softly, having hoped for that answer on pretty much all fronts. She looped her arms around his shoulders and held on tight.

And maybe flicked her tongue out briefly against the hickey she'd just given him while she had a chance to, since she'd liked that reaction.

Diego smiled at that. "You're distracting me."

She wasn't distracting him too badly seeing as he didn't have any trouble getting up off the couch and carrying her to the bedroom. And this time he had an excuse to grab her ass in the name of keeping her steady.

"I like distracting you." That didn't come out as sassy as Annie had wanted, given that she was being carried and that was new and great and kind of stupidly hot how he'd just picked her up like she weighed nothing.

She wrapped her legs tight around Diego's waist, helpfully doing her part to keep steady and hang on to him, and since he was taking care of walking for both of them, she could continue kissing his neck (and, sure, trying to distract him, but that was going to be her mission statement for awhile, here.)

Diego did manage to get them to the bedroom without anything embarrassing happening like tripping. Which would have killed the mood.

He didn't go to the bed right away, instead choosing to press Annie up against the wall and kissing her in a way that showed that her attempts to distract him were doing a good job at working him up.

With the wall at her back for added stability, Annie could draw her legs a little tighter around him, trying to pull Diego even more flush against her as she arched her hips into his.

And while that was probably a fairly distracting move, this whole thing was very distracting for her, and Annie couldn't even bring herself to be embarrassed by the way she moaned into the kiss, her hands gripping at his shoulders with a touch more desperation than had been present back on the couch.

Diego's breath hitched at that, hips grinding up into Annie's. He ducked his head, nuzzling against her neck for a moment before biting down.

She didn't have to worry about hickeys at least.

That was kind of Annie's favorite perk of her diamond skin at the moment. Totally better than being able to take a bullet. She tilted her neck towards him, hissing out a soft, "Yes," at the bite, and shifted her hips against Diego's again.

Being held up against a wall - and being carried around like this, period - was so new to Annie, and it was both her new favorite thing and a little overwhelmingly hot. Like, probably a good thing she was being held up, since she wouldn't have trusted her knees just now.

"We need less clothes," Diego mumbled, biting down on Annie's neck again before walking them over to the bed. "Right now."

"Now," Annie agreed, reluctantly unwinding her legs from around him so she could stand next to the bed, and shimmied out of her jeans quickly, along with her underwear.

And like, she wished Diego luck with undoing his pants and all that while she was staying close and kissing along his chest and shoulders, because she wasn't interested in stopping for basically any reason, now, including undressing. He could work around her.

She certainly wasn't making it easy on him. He managed to get his pants and shorts off but it wasn't exactly quick considering he kept stopping to run his hands over Annie's waist or place kisses against her neck and shoulders.

He got there eventually though, which was what mattered.

"You want to--against the wall?" He would have to be a complete idiot not to tell Annie was into that, but he asked anyway.

"Fuck, really?" Annie felt a wave of heat pass through her. Yes, of course she wanted to keep the wall thing going. "Yes. Yes, yes, yes."

That was a little babbly, but she felt like she could be allowed. She almost asked if he was sure, and then decided she didn't want to give him the chance to back out and instead just busied herself with pressing into kiss Diego again - which was probably going to delay getting back to the wall, but they'd get there.

Seeing her so eager for this hit Diego like a punch to the gut. He moaned into the kiss, hands gripping Annie's waist tightly.

They would get to the wall thing. Eventually.
