75 Godiva Street | Late Morning

It had been a long and sleepless, but satisfying, 4 weeks with the twins at home. They were turning a month old on Friday, and Annie and Diego finally decided it was time for them to be introduced to the rest of the world. Diego would miss their little family bubble they had for a month, but he had to admit he was looking forward to talking to adults again.

They had sent texts out to various people inviting them over if they so wished (he was not about to force people to see his children), and ordered a pizza now that they were done with the healthy food Donna had supplied them with. The twins were dressed in cute outfits that they probably wouldn't put up with a couple months from now.

Of course Maggie immediately spit up on her little dress but he figured people were gonna have to get used to that like he had over the last couple weeks.

Just ask Annie, who had, in fact, delivered two children not too long ago!

Bah-dum-tss.

"We have exactly zero free time," Annie agreed. "And if one of us leaves, it's two on one in the babies' favor, so it can't exactly be a long shopping trip, either."

Or, well. It could, given that the worst that would happen is a baby might be left crying for a couple minutes, but Annie wasn't willing to risk that kind of thing too much.

Babies at that age were essentially houseplants that cried, it was true. But the crying was pretty effective as far as getting their needs tended to as soon as possible.

“That sounds terribly exhausting,” Watts said bluntly.

"It is," Annie replied candidly, snorting a laugh and shifting Ben up to her shoulder. "I mean, it's super worth it, but I'm a little worried I'm going to end up sleepwalking my way to drinking dry coffee grounds or eating a raw egg or something."

Hence, the bread being so useful in terms of brainless food.

“Well, should you need a break, my offer of babysitting still stands,” Watts said. “Though I understand if you’d want to wait until they are a little older before anything like that.”

"The idea of leaving them seems completely crazy right now," Annie admitted, glad he got it, "but we can start with holding, if you'd like?"

And conveniently, she was shifting Ben to offer him out, since I think Maggie's being held in the other thread lol brows raised expectantly.

“Holding I can do,” Watts affirmed, taking the baby with the ease of someone who had, in fact, done this before. “Nice to meet you, Young Sir,” he told Ben solemnly.
