75 Godiva Street | Late Morning

It had been a long and sleepless, but satisfying, 4 weeks with the twins at home. They were turning a month old on Friday, and Annie and Diego finally decided it was time for them to be introduced to the rest of the world. Diego would miss their little family bubble they had for a month, but he had to admit he was looking forward to talking to adults again.

They had sent texts out to various people inviting them over if they so wished (he was not about to force people to see his children), and ordered a pizza now that they were done with the healthy food Donna had supplied them with. The twins were dressed in cute outfits that they probably wouldn't put up with a couple months from now.

Of course Maggie immediately spit up on her little dress but he figured people were gonna have to get used to that like he had over the last couple weeks.

“We brought bread,” Watts said, holding out the couple loaves of sourdough he’d been carrying in one hand. “And cinnamon rolls.”

Non-vegan cinnamon rolls, and still a little warm, since he’d made them basically as soon as he’d gotten the text.

Watts shrugged. “It’s no trouble.” It really wasn’t, baking was stress relief.

“I didn’t know babies that young could engage in deceptive tactics,” Watts mused as he followed Diego in.

“That part, at least, will actually be a benefit once they’re a little older,” Watts pointed out. “As they will always have a playmate.”

“Oh, of course, that’s right,” Watts snapped his fingers. “You and your siblings are all the same age as well. Hopefully the dynamic will be a little less- fraught? With only two?”

“The possibility of holding a baby is in large part why I came by,” Watts informed him solemnly.

“Excellent,” Watts said, taking off his hat as he stepped inside and setting it down on a baby swing.

He poured himself a glass of soda from the bottle near the box of pizza (was it a clean glass? Who even knew.) and took a seat.

“Gridiron?” Watts said. “I’m loosely familiar, yes. But I have also held an infant before. My-“ he stopped abruptly, and shook his head. “Well, it’s not important.”

“Hello there, Little Miss,” Watts said softly as he took the baby. “I hear you and your brother have been keeping your parents on their toes.”
